Shrewsbury? Ever been to this beautiful town? I have, and honestly, I can’t seem to decide where to begin. There’s so much to see and do, it feels never-ending. I recently took a mini camping trip here for a few days and didn’t want to leave. Transitioning from big city life to little town adventurer was a refreshing change—there’s definitely a noticeable difference.
The River Severn winds its way through this stunning town, complemented by Tudor houses and red brick medieval streets. It’s absolutely mesmerizing! The town boasts numerous independent stores ranging from antiques and food to drinks, bakeries, and sporting goods. It’s fantastic to see so many independent businesses thriving alongside the typical high street giants. This truly puts Shrewsbury in its own category, prioritizing its citizens. The streets were spotless; I didn’t see a single piece of rubbish during my visit.
Unfortunately, I only stayed for two days, and I spent one of them climbing hills at the Welsh border, so I didn’t have as much time to explore the town as I would have liked. However, I’ve made a list and an agenda for my next visit. Here are some highlights:
